Its been a while

So it's been quite a while since I have uploaded anything at all... here are a few things I have noodled up in the last few weeks.. Im still working murals and faux finishing and learning high end venitian plaster ( kinda cool ) but my heart just isn't in it anymore. I just wanna draw and get better at this stuff.. so
Im leaving for Ohio tomorrow and will be out all week, while there I have decided to study Harry Carmean and, Heinrick Kley to bring my life drawing up to snuff and reading Don Bluth's book on storyboarding so I can have a better understanding of that end of the buisness, I have a lot of ideas I want to work on and only a rough idea of how to bring them to fruition.
There are a lot of things I have been thinking about lately and I hope to focus on some of them and write about them here and open them to discussion. Hope everyone is doing well.. take care all...

Drawing and friends all night long ( 6pm-question mark?? )
I dont know how much longer I'll be doing these as I am moving in with my girlfriend in Mid July ( since she got into CAL ARTS we're moving to Valencia or at least closer than Chatsworth) So this may be one of the last that I will throw ... at least for some time.. It's been a bit over 5 years now... It might be time to pass the torch anyhow... more on thatlater...

New inklings and doodles

Just a few newer doodles I did for a friend as a request...

Ive been drooling over my newly aquired "Cartoon Modern" book for the past week and take it out and comb over it whenever I get a chance.. It really makes me appreciate what I do that much more... I really want to learn as much as I can and progress at a faster rate. I feel as if over the last year I have really taken the plunge and often find myself saying "I am committed to this... I am an artist, it's what I do.." and I feel really good about that...

you'll have to excuse the looseness if this post.. it's like 2:30 am and Im trying to recoop from a white mocha that was supposed to be a white hot cocoa.. cant sleep and my stomache is killin me... ugh!

So I got this Fantastic book last night before the session from my Kick Ass Friend Matt ( Darksuperhero.blogspot.com <-- dude is sick.. check him out )

anyhow I decided to drop this .... Its a cross betweeen Murdoc and what was kind of an idea of hellboy but I went in another direction... anyhow .. Love it for what it is... about 2 hours of a good time this morning......


btw.. It was draw out ..scanned ... printed out on a laser printer .. colored with copics and sharpie poster paint pens and then scanned again..
